"A Life Unexamined...

...is Not Worth Living".
-Socrates

"...When we retire at night, we constructively review our day. Were we resentful, selfish, dishonest or afraid? Do we owe an apology? Have we kept something to ourselves which should be discussed with another person at once? Were we kind and loving toward all? What could we have done better?

Were we thinking of ourselves most of the time? Or were we thinking of what we could do for others, of what we could pack into the stream of life? But we must be careful not to drift into worry, remorse or morbid reflection, for that would diminish our usefulness to others. After making our review we ask God’s forgiveness and inquire what corrective measures should be taken..."
-Alcholics Anonymous, Page 86

"He who conquers others is strong;
He who conquers himself is mighty."
-Lao Tzu, founder of Taoism

"He who conquers himself is the mightiest warrior".
-Confucious

One who knows others is wise;
one who knows himself is wisest.

One who conquers others is strong;
one who conquers himself is strongest.
-Tao Te Ching, Chapter 23, McCarroll Translation

-------------------------------------------

|...day 80/90 and my anticipation of completing my goal is mounting.  There is so much shoolwork I have to complete and a personal inventory yet to be done before I go home.  God is great and so is AA - each meeting is perfect, everybody is necessary, all in AA have been placed there to be my perfect teachers.  Some teach me love, some teach me humility, but all teach me patience, tolerance and kindliess, for they always allow me to return and try to do it a little better.

God bless us all,every one.

Welcome as a witness to a fools journey out of the darkness. I welcome all tidings - you are all my teachers on this path toward a meaningful and purposeful sobriety.
